A managing director at BlackRock paid $7.3 million for a waterfront property in Jupiter‘s Admirals Cove neighborhood.

Records show 197 Spyglass LLC, a Delaware corporation that lists the New Jersey address of Rick Rieder, bought the home at 197 Spyglass Court from Justin and Robin Thorn Daniels. The sellers flipped the house in three months for a 12 percent profit.

Rieder joined New York-based BlackRock, an investment management company that has managed $8.7 trillion in assets, in 2009.

The Daniels couple, who own and operate the Jupiter-based real estate and investment holding company, Daniels Holdings, bought the home for $6.5 million in November. They listed the property this month for $7.8…

Say hello to the newest member of the Waterfront family, “Topsy”! As a very thoughtful holiday thank you gift, our gracious friends from A1 Moving & Storage have adopted her in our name! Topsy is a green sea turtle receiving care at our beloved Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach after being rescued by the Coast Guard. She came in with unintentional boat strike injuries to the carapace which caused a systemic infection, hypoglycemia, and inability to dive and stay underwater. Her white blood cell count has increased and has been monitored closely since arrival, and she has gone through various surgeries and procedures to repair her carapace using implants.

Thanks to Loggerhead Marinelife Center, she is in excellent health, but still needs to…

Special needs students at Jupiter Community High School put out a call for help last September. The kids are part of the “exceptional student education program” which brings them to area businesses to learn about jobs and careers and also provides training. An aging bus with no access for wheelchair bound students, no air conditioning and a multitude of other issues made the trips nearly impossible.

Jupiter Realtor Rob Thomson of Waterfront Properties was touched by the story and immediately offered to match all donations. He also took on the role of chief fundraiser to help the students saying, “The most needy kids have the worst transportation.” Several months later Robs’ outreach to the community succeeded.…

Establishing a successful career in real estate is never easy. Even the real estate mogul Rob Thomson of Jupiter would attest to that fact. In fact, many new real estate agents quit their job within two years of being in the industry. Some of them don’t realize that it’s entirely possible to take your real estate career to the next level. With patience, perseverance, and hard work, aspiring real estate agents will eventually get to where they want to be.

According to Thomson, he wouldn’t have been as successful as he is today without the mentorship of his mother, Joan Thomson, an established and successful real estate agent whom Rob still goes to for advice today. With the insights he gained from Joan, he…

Waterfront Way Foundation presented a check in the sum of $20,000 to Place of Hope this Tuesday from Waterfront Way Foundation’s “Cruise For Kids” event in May of this year. This amount was then doubled by Place of Hope’s Emergency Response Matching Fund to bring contributions to $40,000 in support of the non-profit organization.

Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, Place of Hope was forced to cancel more than five fundraising events in 2020 to adhere to social distancing regulations, including the “Fish For Hope KDW Tournament”, the “17th Annual Golf Invitational and Charity Dinner”, their “Paradise Found Dinner” at Adams Ranch, and their “Summertime Parties With A Purpose” event. Fundraising events are vital to Place of Hope’s budget…

As we ring in 2020, we reflect on a turbulent year helping our friends at Old Bahama Bay rebuild after Hurricane Dorian. Winner’s Circle Charities was the first organization cleared by the President of OBB to arrive at the docks, and swiftly organized donation drop-off locations, sponsored Costco trips, and secured hundreds of boats to respond to the needs of families and friends in the Bahamas. Rest assured, OBB is back and better than ever! If it wasn’t for the Winner’s Circle Charities Fishing Tournament every year, Winner’s Circle Charities would not have had the immediate resources available to facilitate such a timely response, so thank you so much to all of the teams and sponsors who participate every single year!

“We’re excited to be able…

Evidencing the utility of Waterfront Properties’ brokerage-supplied agent resources, more than a third of its 75 real estate agents were named to 2018’s Captain’s Club. Twenty-seven agents were recognized for having sold $10 million or more as an individual agent, or on average as part of a dedicated sales team. This factors in private sales, the Multiple Listing Service (“MLS”), and referral transactions.

“Data doesn’t lie,” Waterfront Owner Rob Thomson said. “Our model works for every agent willing to buy into and utilize the system. Every year we want to have more Captain’s Club members than the year before.”

Captain’s Club members cited some combination of Waterfront’s resources as fundamental to their impressive year. Principal among those…
