Covid Healthcare Heroes Receive Special Gift at Big Dog Ranch Rescue
This week, COVID-19 healthcare heroes received a special gift that will hopefully bring some love and happiness into their lives. Jupiter Realtor Rob Thomson donated $15,000 to pay the adoption fees at Big Dog Ranch Rescue for those dealing with the pandemic on the front lines.
“The emotional toll of dealing with families and patients in our community who have been affected by Covid-19 is tremendous,” Thomson said. “I hope our frontline workers will consider adopting a new friend so they may enjoy a warm and loving companion. Thank you so much for your incredible dedication to healing our family and friends.”
Those fighting to save lives during the Covid-19 pandemic have been under an incredible amount of stress, and Rob Thomson is making sure that they have the chance to experience the pure love and emotional healing that a dog can provide.
Thomson continues, “We got our dog, Rex, from Big Dog Ranch, and my daughter (Taylor Thomson) got her dog from Big Dog Ranch, and they’ve just brought so much happiness to our lives. It’s been great to have them and it’s been a really difficult year for everybody. I can’t tell you how much joy those dogs have brought into our life, and we want first responders to experience the same thing we have.”
Big Dog Ranch Rescue Founder and President Lauree Simmons says the positive affect a dog has on someone’s life can be massive. “I know first-hand the calming and positive effects a new dog has on a home. The unreserved love and happiness of a dog can transform a difficult time into a positive moment. I sincerely thank all of our first responders and greatly appreciate Rob Thomson’s generosity in sponsoring adoptions for these heroes.”
Through March 31, 2021, first responders and frontline healthcare workers presenting ID will have all their adoption fees paid for, courtesy of Rob Thomson and Waterfront Properties.
